1. Verstappen’s impact on the title contenders
Qualifying has been extremely close on a number of occasions this season, but after the summer break the title picture always starts to come into greater focus, so Max Verstappen beating the two McLarens to pole position adds an extra layer of intrigued to Sunday’s race.
Lando Norris is looking to make inroads into the 34-point lead Oscar Piastri has opened up following the drama at Zandvoort, and ticked off his first objective by out-qualifying his team mate.
