Tennis, Goodwood and celebrity run-ins – How F1 drivers have spent the July mini-break

No racing? No problem. With two weeks off between Silverstone and Spa, the F1 drivers and team principals traded helmets for yachts and tennis rackets, welcomed new family members, and even rubbed shoulders with World Record Holders.

Wimbledon

George Russell, Ollie Bearman and Liam Lawson swapped asphalt for grass at Wimbledon, as F1 ambassador (and certified Tifoso) Jannik Sinner claimed a historic victory on the famous centre court. Even Sebastian Vettel was spotted enjoying himself between the tennis action...

We’re glad Jannik’s brother has his priorities in order...

Away from SW19, Pierre Gasly caught up with tennis legend Roger Federer, no doubt comparing their world-class reflexes!

Goodwood Festival of Speed

It was an F1 takeover at this years’ Goodwood Festival of Speed. The current stars of the grid (Esteban Ocon, Ollie Bearman, and Gabriel Bortoleto), mastermind Adrian Newey, and Haas boss Ayao Komatsu jumped into the cockpits of some of the most successful cars in the sport's history to take on the iconic Goodwood hill.

With Formula 1 legends such as Mika Hakkinen, Alain Prost, Sir Jackie Stewart, Mario Andretti, and Jacques Villeneuve joining the party - it was less a motorsport showcase and more a time machine in overdrive.

Monaco Diamond League

Whilst taking a break from bending the laws of physics on-track, Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri took in the action at the Monaco Diamond League, watching track and field stars like pole vault world record holder Mondo Duplantis deliver more gravity-defying performances.

A long way from Melbourne’s Albert Park, Oscar Piastri found some familiar faces at the Monaco Diamond League, catching up with fellow Aussie star athletes Gout Gout and Kurtis Marschall between world-class track action.
